Over at Peace and Carrots, M-Shan made reference to D-Hug's and P-Rut's electrifying work of staggering genius, about which I've been intending to spread the gospel! As you'd expect, coming from the mind(s) of the proprietor(s) of Will Cooley Fan Club, it is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. It's a music trivia game (still in the development stages), but rather than identifying artist's names or song titles, competitors must recall specific lyrical content, and whereas JEOPARDY! requires players to respond in the form of a question, their game requires players to answer in the passive voice.
I was so horned up by their idea when I left the bar on Friday night, I went home and began compiling a list of possible quiz questions. I finally had to stop around 4:00am, because Sweet Pickles was tired.
With that in mind, SweetPickles.typepad.com would like to try a new feature:
D-Hug's & P-Rut's Music Trivia Game!
I hope they'll be flattered by my enthusiasm (rather than worried about potential copyright/patent violations) in appropriating publicizing their concept. I'm doing it so that those so unfortunate as not to live near them, and are thus unable to get all up-close-and-personal with the D-Hug and P-Rut, will be able to experience a little of the D-Hug/P-Rut flava (albeit vicariously and at a distance), NOT in some shameless attempt to attract more readers to SweetPickles.typepad.com! It's just too good to contain locally... it's going viral! And if they should ever find any of my questions worthy of their future live staging of the game, I'd be honored by the inclusion and happy to abstain from the competition [Don't worry, D-Hug... I've already got 87 questions so far!]. And perhaps the response time might provide our inventors with some evaluative data for assigning point-values based upon level of difficulty (it's research, yo!).
Note: Since this is a test of memory intended to recognize authoritative music experts, all external resources are verboten. Also, the SweetPickles.typepad.com reader who responds first with the correct answer (stated in the passive voice, if possible) will be awarded the Dlisted.com-inspired title "Music Trivia Slut of the Day."
